This mini course is organized by the department of mathematics in Lens, Faculté des Sciences Jean Perrin (University of Artois) in collaboration with the department of mathematics in Louvain-la-Neuve (Université catholique de Louvain), and it is supported by ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) in the framework of the project "Groupes Algébrique et Théories Homologiques". The program includes three 5-hours courses, and five short talks by young researchers.

Courses:

Jean Fasel (Institut Fourier, Grenoble): Some recent results on the classification of vector bundles over smooth affine schemes.

Ulf Rehmann (Universitaet Bielefeld): Linear Algebraic groups and Algebraic K-Theory.

Yoav Segev (Ben-Gurion University): Maps that resemble valuations on Division rings.

Short talks:

Christian Brown (University of Nottingham): Nonassociative algebras from skew polynomial rings.

Adam Chapman (Michigan State University): Clifford algebras of 2-covers of quadrics.

Hassan Jolany (Université Lille I): Tian's stability and Kobayashi-Hitchin correspondence for vector bundles.

Mélanie Raczek (Universiteit Antwerpen): Bezout forms and 2-torsion ramification sequences.

Sergei Sinchuk (Saint-Petersburg State University): On centrality of K2 for Chevalley groups.
